When launching one of the best tablets on Thursday, Samsung does have great hopes on Galaxy Tab S to beat the competitors of Apple, iPad Air. So who deserves the title as the best tablet?

The screen is the first sector that must to be matched. As we know, Apple has been using Retina Display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels that look good for a 9.7-inch screen. IPS LCD screen sharpness is also guaranteed by the pixel density of 264ppi, Techradar.

Apparently, slightly superior to Samsung Galaxy S because wearing 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen (there is a mini version of the 8.4-inch) with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Galaxy S also has the ability to adjust color, saturation, and sharpness with its environment.

Equally important aspect is the further processing speed processor that supports both tablets. With 64-bit processor Apple A7 1.3 GHz dual-core processors, the performance of iPad Air will not defeat the estimated speed of the Galaxy Tab S by doubling the performance of the octa-core processor 2.3 GHz Exynos consisting of a combination of 2 quad- core 1.9 GHz and 1.3 GHz.

There is a possibility if the Galaxy S will carry the octa-core Snapdragon processor 2.3 GHz 800 instead of the Samsung-made Exynos processor.

Interestingly, although not as fast as the Galaxy Tab S, iPad Air is considered better able to maximize the performance of the software that is embedded on it. While powerful processor Samsung seems not fully utilized by the Galaxy S.

The latter is in terms of design that carried both the high-end tablet. Although the Galaxy S has a screen that is more superior than iPad Air, but the Samsung tablet that has 3GB of RAM is still not able to match the design of the typical iPad Air elegant. But make no mistake, the Galaxy Tab S is not less sweet with minimal body thickness of 6.5 mm only. Compare with iPad Air which is more 'fat' with a thickness of 7.5 mm.

Galaxy S does look more superior than the iPad Air, but whether does Samsung will easily overthrew the dominance of Apple in the tablet market in the quarter earlier this year was able to sell 16.4 million tablets worldwide?
