Google announced a healthcare application service named GoogleFit at the application developer conference Google I/O in San Francisco, California, United States, Wednesday (25/06/2014).
GoogleFit applications can access the fitness profiles of users, such as heart rate, number of steps, calories burned, and so on.
As quoted from The Verge, application developers will be allowed to access the software to develop the Fit in the next few weeks.
On this occasion, Google also announced that they are partnering with Nike, Adidas, Withings, RunKeeper, and Base.
GoogleFit will be a competitor for Apple's health services, namely HealthKit, which was launched simultaneously with the new operating system iOS 8 in early June 2014.
